To Qualify
Spotify announced in 2013 that they pay between $6,000 and $8,400 per 1,000,000 streams. { }That means if we get the artist, label, and publishers to donate their royalties to you during an event you can make between $6,000 and $8,400. So to make this viable you should have at least the capability of producing a million streams in a weekend event (without cheating of course) which means, for example, if you had a list of 100,000 supporters and they all listened to music for just 2 hours on the event weekend that would produce about 4,000,000 streams or $24,000 to $32,000 in donations. If they listened to 2 hours each day on the weekend it would mean twice that.

At the moment – StreamingForCharities.com is 100% run by non-paid volunteers. That means 100% of the monies raised goes to your charities without management fees. In the future we may need to hire some paid staff, but operational costs will never come out of the donated monies. We will cover our costs by charging records labels and artists small fees for their participation.
